Old Macdonald

Bandon Dunes 4th golf course, Old Macdonald, opened June 1st, 2010 to rave reviews. For those who have enjoyed playing the course in year one, many have told us it may be their new "favorite" at the resort.

The 18-hole layout is a tribute to Charles Blair Macdonald (1856-1939), the father of American golf course architecture and founder of the United States Golf Association. Designed by Tom Doak and Jim Urbina, Old Macdonald features the classic principles and strategies that Macdonald incorporated into his own courses, chiefly National Golf Links of America in South Hampton, New York.
