Bandon Dunes was created for one purpose, the pure enjoyment of golf. In order to help you prepare, we offer multiple practice locations that allow you to perfect every shot required on our six links courses.

The central Practice Center is located between Pacific Dunes and Old Macdonald on Round Lake Road. Each course has a putting green near their 1st tee and we recommend putting before your round at each of the course locations. If you are playing the Sheep Ranch, there is also a warm-up area where you can hit full shots prior to your round of golf.

All of the resort’s practice facilities are complimentary to resort guests staying or playing golf on one of our six courses. If you live locally or are just passing by the resort on your travels along Highway 101, you can still use our practice facilities by purchasing a day guest pass.

Day Guest Pass - $10

*Can be purchased at any of our golf shops.

The Practice Center is approximately 50 acres with two full practice ranges facing north and south, a one-acre practice green, two short game practice areas, Shorty’s 9-hole par three practice course, and a clubhouse that serves complimentary coffee and tea.

Shorty’s, our 9-hole par three practice course designed by David McLay Kidd, is named after the late caretaker and self-proclaimed "mayor, governor, and sheriff" of Bandon Dunes, Shorty Dow. Although Shorty’s is a complimentary amenity for our guests, an “Honor Box” for donations is located in the Practice Center Clubhouse. All donations help further the growth and development of our Junior Golf Program as well as the Evan’s Caddie Program for aspiring college students.

Hours of Operations

Open Thursday through Sunday from 2 PM until the Practice Center closes.

With over three miles of oceanfront property, getting from one side of the resort to the other takes time. For those playing at the Sheep Ranch we recommend heading straight over to the warm-up area located just north of the Sheep Ranch clubhouse. Exploring this quiet honey hole can be one of the more spiritual searches you take while also looking for your swing.
